The Problem
Users have interests in interior design or specific projects they need services for, and of this demographic, most feel intimidated by new technologies arising.
The Goal
To develop an interior design app that provides a user-friendly experience for people with little technological proficiency, allowing them to explore and design their living spaces with ease.
User Research
We conducted interviews with potential users aged 50 and above with varying levels of technological familiarity. Key findings included:

Complexity
Users expressed frustration with exterior design software's complexity. They desire an app with simple, step-by-step processes.

Clarity
Visual aids and clear instructions are essential and will help guide users through a user flow.

Mobility
Many users mentioned a preference for mobile devices over computers.
Problem Statement

Our challenge is to design an intuitive and user-friendly app that enables users to effortlessly visualize and plan interior spaces.

The following are design solutions derived from usability study participant responses:
1 / Simplified User Interface
We created a clean and straightforward interface with large icons and minimalistic design elements. The main menu prominently features step-by-step guides and tutorials.
2 / Guided Room Design
We implemented a guided room design feature that allows users to select room dimensions, choose from pre-made templates, and effortlessly place furniture using a drag-and-drop interface.
3 / In-App Tutorials
Zenterior offers interactive in-app tutorials, accessible at any point during the design process, to help users navigate the app with ease.
4 / Visual Feedback
The app provides visual feedback through tooltips and animations, ensuring users always understand their actions' consequences.
